Kelly Conner
Kelly is Alloy’s founder, co-owner, and of course, one of our instructors. Her jewelry brand is MeritMade. Kelly started Alloy as MeritMade Workshop in 2014. Since then it has grown and changed with new teachers, more classes, membership offerings, and expansion to a bigger studio. Kelly’s curiosity and dedication to her craft is infused in every workshop we offer.
Kelly's teaching specialties beyond the basics include:

-Unique Cabochon Bezel Setting
-Advanced Fabrication/Finishing. -
Louise Partain
Louise is also a co-owner and instructor at Alloy. Her jewelry brand is Delicate Hammer Studio. Louise joined the Alloy team in 2022 and has since become an integral part of its operation. Louise develops new workshops, plans our events, and answers all of your emails. Her favorite thing to teach is our DIY wedding band workshops. “Getting to be a part of each couples story and helping them create such a special object is a privilege that I am so grateful for.”

Julianne Vickery
Julianne is an instructor and our studio monitor on Wednesdays. Her jewelry brand is Golden Hours KC. Julianne is responsible for SO much of the day to day operations in the studio. She keeps our store and workshops stocked with supplies, makes sure the studio is in working order, and is an invaluable resource to our bench members in need of project advice, tool instruction, and general encouragement. During our business hours on Wednesday’s, Julianne is available to show you around, help you checkout a book from our library or shop our store!
Julianne specializes in teaching foundational metalsmithing and design skills.
