A few words from Dave on his background and what he makes:

“As a kid I loved building with Legos and planned to be an architect like my dad, until I took a jewelry class in high school with the legendary “Mr. Crawford”. Woah, I can conceive, design, engineer, build, and have a finished piece, like Legos?! Sign me up!

I studied graphic design and metalsmithing at Kansas State, earning a bachelor’s degree. Eight years later, I began work on a master’s degree in metalsmithing and sculpture at the University of Kansas.

I love curves and a balance between solid and negative spaces. My work leans toward abstraction and includes elements that communicate positive experiences and connections. I invite the viewer to finish each piece with their own memories and experiences. “
