Wondering WTF “What the Flux” is all about? Anyone that has done some soldering will get the inside joke! Flux comes in a variety of forms, from liquid to paste. It’s applied to the surface and joints of the metals we’re soldering to keep things clean and free of oxidation when heat is applied. However, it can be a pain in the butt! Sometimes flux makes our solder bounce all over the place, our hands get super sticky, and every once in a while we have to take a hammer to the crusty glass like coating it creates on our soldering surfaces! Metalsmiths have a love hate relationship with flux to say the least…. So, there ya go, now you can understand why we chose to make some “What the Flux!!!” and “Go Flux Yourself” Merch! The metalsmith in your life will LOVE it.

There’s no better way to get a taste for metalsmithing than an in person group workshop. Our ‘Make and Take’ workshops are released quarterly and sell out fast. Our most popular workshop is the ‘Make a Ring’ workshop, where participants select a cabochon stone, design their one of a kind sterling silver ring, and then make it! For $45/year you’ll get invited to all members ONLY events, get FREE access to quarterly “mini workshops”, and be included in our (coming soon) member directory to connect metalsmiths with community members in need of your services.
Maker Membership
Our maker membership is for those who just can’t get enough of our workshops and events, but don’t need to use our physical studio to work in. $195/year gets you discounts on workshops & private lessons, plus all the benefits listed with our social membership!
bench membership
Looking for a space to create? Gift yourself a bench membership. It’s essentially co-working for metalsmiths! Bench memberships are available in either our shared ($95/month) or designated studio ($195/month). We offer a wide selection of shared tools, a professional soldering station, and community with like minded metal nerds!
